Leave behind cotton as your main excursion layer, water-resistant pants standing in for waterproof ones, untested footwear, and bulky formal clothing the ship doesn't ask for. Also skip loose accessories that blow away, unnecessary single-use plastic, and any equipment you can't clean thoroughly for biosecurity.
The biosecurity list is not optional. No soil, seeds, dried plant material or feathers, and nothing with dirty treads or seams. Clean boot treads, trouser cuffs, pockets, fleece, Velcro, backpacks, camera bags, trekking poles and tripod feet before you travel. The ship repeats the inspection, but arriving dirty just costs you time in the queue.
Drones are subject to strict rules and are not a normal passenger item. Don't bring one without written operator approval and confirmation of the regulations that apply.
And don't assume that something one operator recommends is permitted or needed on another voyage.
