Together they're a small slice of the sailings that run each season, and the people who book them usually arrive already knowing exactly what they want rather than shopping around.
They're longer, more expensive, and less forgiving than the classic route. A Ross Sea trip is a serious commitment of time. Snow Hill depends on ice conditions that don't cooperate every year.
