The birdlife is different from anything further south, with black-browed albatross colonies, several penguin species in one place, and a landscape that feels more like the Scottish islands than the Antarctic. Stanley gives you an odd little British outpost to wander around. The one caveat is that Falklands landings are the most cancellation-prone on the whole itinerary.
That cancellation risk is worth taking seriously if a specific Falklands site is the reason you're booking a particular trip. Exposed landings and wind mean plans change more often here than on the Peninsula.
Most people encounter the Falklands as part of a longer Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica itinerary rather than on its own. If you're already committing to the extra time for South Georgia, adding the Falklands is a small marginal cost for a third environment unlike either of the others.
